Birthday greeting book, 1950.

Scrapbook, compiled for Dr. Erich von Kahler, containing birthday greetings from friends for his 65th birthday, chiefly in the form of typewritten letters, essays, poems, and telegrams, dated 1950. Icludes greetings from Albert Einstein (German), John Berryman, Antonio Borghese, etc. Essays include: "History as ethical anthropology: Erich Kahler's scienza nuovo," by Hermann Broch and "Kahler, the measure of a man," by Charles G. Bell. Poetry includes "Octavian-Papageno," by Eleanor L. Wolff.
